Eugene Chang, Principal and Founder
With more than 20 years of executive product strategy and management experience, Eugene Chang has worked with at a number of innovative companies including Cisco Systems, Meetinghouse Data Communications, Funk Software, Proteon, Zoom Telephonics, Extension Technology and Microcom. His market expertise is broad and includes small to large businesses, governmental agencies and direct to consumer markets.
A recognized security expert in the Internet and Wi-Fi markets, Eugene, who holds six patents, has traveled worldwide, speaking at conferences and standards forums presenting new products and technologies.
He earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.
Dan Greenberg, Principal, Technology and Software Licensing
With over 20 years as engineer, product manager, strategist, and business development executive, Dan Greenberg has worked both at and with large technology companies including AT&T, IBM, Honeywell, Westinghouse, and Compaq, and created partnerships with small tech companies including Broadcast International, Matrix Vision, NextIO, and Mental Images. His breadth of experience drives his passion for doing whatever it takes to fill the gaps between Development and Revenue.
Dan has architected internationally deployed standards for fiber-to-the-home and created a framework for understanding the emergence of machine-to-machine (M2M) services. He holds four patents and has had both his technical and management works published. Dan has lived in six States and two countries outside of the USA.
Dan earned a B.S.E in Computer Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech, and an MBA in New Product and Venture Creation from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Steve O’Dea, Director, Systems & Solutions Engineering
Steve is responsible for the management of solutions engineering and project delivery for IS&T clients. With decades of expertise in group management, project planning, hands-on design, market research, competitive analysis and business models, he brings an arsenal of skills to help each client achieve success at every level. Steve has worked across many disciplines including mechanical, electrical, acoustic, software and optical engineering. A common theme in Steve’s work is optimizing multidisciplinary systems through a combination of using various modeling tools and building and testing complex prototypes. In addition to his engineering contributions, he has also collaborated with marketing and business development teams to successfully deliver new products.
He has held engineering and management positions with Bose, Deka Research & Development and Draper Labs, among others. Steve’s accomplishments are many; and as Chief Engineer of Electro-Mechanical Research at Bose, he built a team to develop a daylight viewable front projection system that resulted in 7 patents. Steve earned B.S. and M.S.M.E. degrees from M.I.T in 4 ½ years while qualifying for the Pi Tau Sigma Honor Society. Steve holds 10 patents in 6 different technical areas.
John Sax, Managing Consultant
John provides engineering and product development services and technical strategy consulting for IS&T clients. He is highly skilled in this area, having worked in a variety of organizations from start-ups to large corporations. John has a vast array of experience working with technologies ranging from network security, Linux and Windows applications, iPhone and Android apps to software systems that run in the Amazon Cloud.
A respected technical strategist with business acumen, John has provided consulting and strategy for high profile organizations such as The Federal Reserve Bank, The New York Stock Exchange and Pacific Gas & Electric, to name a few. John co-founded and launched startup company, Ironbridge Networks, which offered the largest carrier class router in existence at the time. He also served as CTO of the Data Networking Group at Lucent Technologies where he was responsible for corporate technical strategy, technology acquisitions and acted as spokesperson to major carriers, technical market analysts and the media.
John earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
